GENERAL: Unless otherwise, the rules are set out in the “DCU sporting rules”.

*With 120 riders registered riders in U17, the class is divided into an U16 and an U17 class.
COMPETITION PRINCIPLE: The event takes place over 5 stages. The race is run in actual time as well as bonus seconds on the 1-2-3-5 stage for the first 5 riders. If a rider leaves the race, on any stage, the riderwill be given the last completing riders time, +2 minute. (does not apply for the Streetrace).
A rider leaving the race or not completing a stage MUST inform the finishjudge at the finishline. If a rider leaves the race or a stage, he / she is out of the classification, but is allowed to start on all following stages. All stages MUST be completed to get a place in the overall classification and jersey competitions. A rider who has had a mishap or does not complete a stage may still start in all following stages and race for the stageresult.
RACE PROGRAM
Stage 1 – Road race: The actual time is applied and bonus seconds are awarded to the first 5 (8-6-5-3-2 seconds).
Stage 2 – Street race: The actual time is applied and bonus seconds are awarded to the first 6 (8-6-5-3-2 seconds). Riders who loose a lap are taken out of the race, and will given the last completing rider’s timebut are still in the overall classification.
Riders in U11, U11P, U13 and U13P. A rider must complete the entire stage, even though a rider is lapped by other riders.
Stage 3 – Road race: The actual time is applied and bonus seconds are awarded to the first 5 (8-6-5-3-2 seconds).
Stage 4 – Timetrail: The actual time is applied.
Stage 5 – Road race: The actual time is applied and bonus seconds are awarded to the first 5 (8-6-5-3-2 seconds).
PRIZES: Prizes are awarded for each of the stages for no. 1-2-3 in U11 / U11P / U13P and for no. 1-2-3-4-5 in all other classes.
The rider MUST attend the prize ceremony.
The Yellow Jersey: There is a competition in each class for the leaders jersey, known as “the yellow jersey”. The leader jersey is awarded to the rider in each class who, after each stage, holds the 1st place in the overall classification. The jersey MUST be worn by the leading rider of each class during the next stage. The jersey is acquired as permanent property.
In addition, U19, U19P, U17 and U17P are competing for a points jersey and a hill jersey. Points are awarded for the first three (5-3-1 points) for each sprint. The corresponding jersey is awarded to the rider leading the competition after each stage. The jerseys MUST be worn at subsequent stages.
The rider MUST attend the prize ceremony.

TEAM COMPETITION: Team competition is run in all classes where a club/team has at least 3 riders registered. If there are more than 3 riders registered from the same club, in the same class, it is the time of the first 3 riders on each stage that counts as the team’s time. The team with the shortest driving time wins the competition.
SERVICE: Service is not allowed in the classes U11 – U17.,Therefore no one other than the participating riders class and club riders may assist another rider from the same class and club in case of a mishap. However, service is allowed in U19P and U19 on the 1st, 4th and 5th stage.
On the 2nd stage (the street race) there will be two service depots, where it is possible to have the wheels changed in the event of an approved mishap. Rider will get one lap respite. U11, U11P, U13 and U13P have no respite the last 2 laps. Other classes have no respite the last 3 laps. Riders must have there own wheels in these service depots. Assisting the rider in changing the wheels is allowed.
On the 4th stage, after the gravel road section, there will be a service depot where it is possible to change wheels. Riders must have there own wheels in this service depot.
GEAR CHECK: On the 1st, 2nd, 3th, and 5th stages, No. 1, 2 and 3 MUST attend a gear check emidiately after the finish line. Location for gear check will be given at the information meeting, at before each start.
DROP ZONE: There will be drop zones on each stage. These MUST be used.
START: Before the start of the 1st, 2nd, 3th and 5th stage there will start stalls. Here, the riders will be called up by drawing lots according to the riders number (last digit). Riders in the leader jerseys (yellow, blue and red) always start at the front. Alle riders must be in the startingarea no later than 10 minutes befor each start.
EQUIPMENT:
U11 to U17 Ride on ordinary roadbikes, but TT-helmets are allowed for the timetrial. Other rules: see “DCU Sports Rules. U19 and U19 P also run according to rules in “DCU’s sports rules”.
Gear locking can be accepted for foreign riders.
NUMBERS: Numbers placed so that they are “readable” when the rider leans forward. In addition, all riders must mount their transponder for each race, preferable on the front fork.
